Teenager suffers life-threatening head trauma after falling out of vehicle

UPDATE: Longview police have identified the teenage victim as 17-year old Delena Renee Nguyen.
LONGVIEW (KYTX) - Longview Police are on the scene of a serious crash involving a teenager.
Police tell us the accident happened around 8:30 tonight on Spring Hill Rd off of Gilmer Rd.
Accident investigators say a teenage driver lost control around a curve when her passenger, also a teenager, flew out of the car, hitting her head on the on the road.
"The passenger apparently fell out this point on her own," said Officer Brad Dell, of the Longview Police Department. "She struck the roadway, hit the curb.. we got head trauma.. at this point, serious injuries, life threatening injuries."
The driver says no charges will be filed and no other vehicles were involved.
